Los Orgones - Biofunctional Research Center for the Perception Shift

Spanish speakers must overcome an additional obstacle in order to study reichian writings: many of his books are not published not even translated into spanish. In Argentina most of them were banned by the military governments in the ´70s.

Anyway, the reichian research was recovered and understood piece by piece. Each fragment corroborated in therapeutic work on the patients and on the researchers themselves, and through experimentation.

One question became the starting point for further investigation: How is it possible to achieve orgastic potency? And once achieved, How is it possible to maintain it? This two questions lead to new findings.

   The orgasm described by Reich is the expression of a state of matter/energy equilibrium in the organism. An armored organism is subject to the entropic movement of matter, and is pulled to shrinking and fragmentation.

   On the other side, an organism which maintains orgastic potency through time becomes subject to the antienthropic laws of energy, and so, a deeper desarmoring process begins.
   In this stage the biosystem experiences a diferent orgasm, without convulsion, characterized by the perceptive experience of consciousness pulsation. In the orgasm, perception is shifted from the body (from sensory perception or Second Pulsation) to the energy field (First Pulsaation). So the subject perceives himself as a larger living unit, the biosystem, both body and energy field. Body is the contraction pole and the energy field the expansion pole. In consciousness pulsation both poles of pulsation are perceived simultaneously. In daily life we perceive only from and what the body (biosystem contraction pole) makes available to us through orgonotic harmony.

From this point of view, any improvement, any change, any step forward in disarmoring process may be described and understood as a perception shift, as a perceptive transformation, or a widening of perceptive field.

The deeper disarmoring process triggered by the maintenance of orgastic potency disolves the armor, taking it back in time to earlier stages of personal history. It is well known that freudian psychoanalysis reaches only the age language is stablished; that character analysis goes further into preliguistic phase. The researchers of the Center achieved a deeper layer: the most basic structures of natural armor, stablished at birth. They named this basic traits biological matrix.

The direct knowledge of this first stage of character formation allows the therapists of the Center to describe and access biophysical phenomena unknown for classic orgonomy (for ex. Falling anguish), and found the Shape Analysis, the Center approach to therapy.

It makes possible too to include sensations as material for analysis, as freudians do with ideas an dream images, and reichians with biological expression.

And, what may be most important, makes possible to fulfill Reich´s Orgonomic Infant Research goals: to understand and develop healthy newborn care.
